We’re a small, eco-friendly (and dog-friendly) campsite set within a 32-acre community farm in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty on the wild North Cornwall coast. Nestled between Bude and Tintagel Castle - long linked with the legends of King Arthur - the landscape here is shaped by Atlantic winds, temperate rainforests, rolling pasture and rugged cliffs.
Just two miles away, Crackington Haven offers a beautiful mix of sand and rock, and access to the South West Coast Path, where you’ll find sweeping sea views, hidden coves and dramatic coastal walks.
We are sometimes able to collect walkers by car, do check for availability.
As a certified site with the Greener Camping Club, we keep things low-impact and spacious, supporting wildlife, dark skies and a quieter, more grounded experience of being in this landscape.
We offer a range of ways to stay, from traditional camping and van pitches to more comfortable glamping options. There’s a cosy shepherd’s hut for two and a spacious, furnished bell tent, so everyone from seasoned campers to those who prefer a softer landing can enjoy time on the land together.
Our campsite is part of Trelay Cohousing Community - a thriving community and small-holding where several people, families and animals live together, sharing resources and creating a more connected, meaningful way of life. The site itself is run by a few members, with a portion of the profits supporting the wider community. While the campsite remains separate from day-to-day community and farm life, your stay still contributes to and sits alongside this ongoing commitment to more sustainable living.
Why go greener?
Choosing a site certified by the Greener Camping Club means choosing a way of travelling that treads more lightly on the land. Our small, carefully managed campsite prioritises biodiversity, renewable energy and low-impact living, with limiting pitch numbers so there’s space for both people and wildlife to thrive. The result is a quieter, less crowded experience, where dark skies, birdsong and the rhythms of the seasons are tangible.
Through Greener Camping, we support a shared tree planting initiative with over 120,000 trees planted so far, including 14,000 on campsites in 2025, with more planned each year. Funded through membership, it’s a simple way we contribute to restoring the land and balancing the impact of even the most mindful stays.
